How To Get There

ARRIVAL BY PLANE

Air traffic, although from a small but modern airport (8 km away from the city center), connects Zadar to the Croatian cities Zagreb and Pula, and still, in spite of less flights recently, to many European cities. You can access other destinations by changing planes in Zagreb which, as the capital of Croatia, belongs to the international air traffic network.

Zadar airport is located in Zemunik Donji in the vicinity of the Zagreb-Split A1 highway connection (Zadar 2). It is about 8 km distant from the center of Zadar and it represents a vital connection of northern Dalmatia and Lika to the rest of Croatia and the world. Croatia Airlines - the national airline company, a member of the Star Alliance airlines association, links Croatia by direct flights to a number of European destinations: Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Paris, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, Zurich, Düsseldorf, Copenhagen, Podgorica and Priština, In the high season, the Croatian coast is linked by air with additional destinations in Austria, France, Germany and Great Britain. From Zadar Airport you can easily reach Zadar town by our transfer service, taxi or local bus. From Zadar old town, or port Gaženica, you can choose to travel by boat or by ferry to Ugljan island. In only 25 min you will reach Preko village, and in another 15 min walk by the sea our INFO POINT at following address: Tourist Info Preko, Magazin 8,23273 Preko, otok Ugljan.

ARRIVAL BY CAR

The city of Zadar is an easily accessible destination which you can reach by land, sea or air. With its good infrastructure it is directly connected to other bigger Croatian cities: Zagreb, Rijeka, Split and Osijek. Excellent connectivity makes your arrival safe and easy: with the new highway Zagreb - Split (A1) in less than 3 hours from Zagreb and Rijeka. Arriving to Zadar head for the ferry port Gaženica. You should take ferry to Preko village, on island Ugljan. There are ferries quite frequently . For info on ferry schedule: FerryCroatia (jadrolinija.hr)
